A SAD FAREWELL

From 2000 to 2011 the 50/60 Club raised money for the Orthopaedic Ward at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary. Over those years we raised almost £30,000 and had a wonderful time in the process. Old friends met at the Annual Reunion of footballers from the 1950’s and 60’s, they put on knee bandages and stout shoes to complete the Annual Sponsored Walk from Lancaster to Caton and they enjoyed raising a glass or two at Charity Dinners and other assorted assemblies. It is now time to let others pick up the banner as the 50/60 Club goes into a sort of retirement but thank you all for your support and friendship.
